Hi, I’m Laura! I'm a code nerd and self-proclaimed Squarespace evangelist with a passion for finding simple and elegant solutions to complex problems.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, I’ve worked with websites for 15 years. Starting off in content and user experience, I’ve been working as a web designer since 2014, when I started Hatch Labs.

This means that when you hire me, you don’t just get a web designer. You get a blend of skills and experience that help your business generate more business.

I’m naturally curious. A great listener - and an even better question-asker. I’m all about building websites that are functional and beautiful. And making the process as easy for you as possible.

Though I cut my teeth on WordPress websites, I now build 95% of my sites in Squarespace – because it’s awesome to build in and easy for clients to manage. I’m a certified Squarespace Expert, Authorised Trainer, Circle Member and a Circle Community Leader (translation: I know my way around the platform pretty well).

When I'm not building websites, you can find me wrangling my tribe (three small humans and a fluffy Labradoodle), hanging out with my husband, trying to master the banjo, drinking oat lattes or escaping the city to go hiking.
